Tool Chronicle

Terms and refunds

In force from 11 October 2026. Tool Chronicle is run by Media Yard LLC, a New Jersey company. "We" means Media Yard LLC. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Refunds, in short

To ask for a refund, write to support@toolchronicle.com from the address you signed up with. Refunds go back to the card that paid, and usually show within ten days.

What the service is

The checker opens a public web page you name and shows the tools that page offers to AI agents. Watch looks at a site once a day, keeps a dated record of what it offered, and emails you when that changes.

What the record is, and is not

A record is our own observation: what our browser saw on one page, on one day. It can be incomplete or wrong. We look at one page per site, we cannot see tools that need a sign-in, and a page that fails to load is recorded as not read rather than as changed.

"Recorded" on a result means only that we observed it on that date. It is not a certification, an audit, an endorsement of the site, or an official or legal act of any kind, and it should not be presented as one.

We do not call the tools we find on other people's sites. We test a tool only where the site's owner has asked us to. On the Watch plan the owner asks by publishing a file we name at /.well-known/toolchronicle.txt on the site; we look for it before every run and stop when it is gone. We call only tools that declare they read and change nothing, with the inputs the owner wrote. If you write tests, you are telling us those calls are safe to make, and what a tool does when called is yours to answer for.

Using the service fairly

We may limit or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.

Your watch page, fleet page and feed key

Each sign-up has a private page reached only by its link, and a fleet also has a key for its feed. Anyone who has the link or the key can use it, so keep them as you would a password. They show what public sites offer agents and nothing about you.

The feed is for your own use and your own agents. Do not resell it or republish it as a service of your own.

Price and payment

Watch costs $29 a month for one site. Fleet costs $149 a month for up to ten sites, with the change record as a feed and a weekly digest. Both start with a fourteen-day free trial. Payment is taken by Stripe. The subscription renews each month until you cancel. Prices do not include any sales tax that may apply.

If we change the price, we will email you at least thirty days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

When a trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription ends, change alerts stop and the watch page shows a summary. We keep looking at the site, so the record is there if you come back.

Cancelling

Use the "Manage or cancel" link on your watch page, or write to us. Cancelling stops future charges. To stop emails without cancelling, use the link at the foot of any email.

If your site is one we look at

Our crawler identifies itself as ToolChronicleBot, loads one page a day and obeys robots.txt. To be left out, disallow ToolChronicleBot in robots.txt or write to us.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and the record continuous, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of gaps. We may change or withdraw features. If we close a paid feature you are using, we will tell you first and refund any month you have paid for and not received.

No warranty

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose. Do not rely on it as your only check before making a decision that matters.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if that is more. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email subscribers before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when this version came into force.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA. If you are a consumer, you also keep any rights the law of your own country or state gives you that cannot be signed away.
